"Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare" sponsors "Al Manarat" project to support orphans and female breadwinners in Dar Al Salam, Al Basatin and Arab Al Maadi in Cairo governorate

 


Mr. Mohamed Al Etreby, BM CEO and the head of "Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare" board of trustees, signed a cooperation protocol with a civil society association to look after orphans and female breadwinners located in Dar Al Salam, Al Basatin and Arab Al Maadi in Cairo governorate for the fourth year in a row.

The signing of this protocol indicates that Banque Misr is highly concerned with the social responsibility role. For this reason, it takes a huge part in the comprehensive development of the Egyptian family through "Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare". The protocol also targets taking care of some families in Dar Al Salam, Al Basatin and Arab Al Maadi, Cairo governorate through providing families basic needs as well as providing the educational and leisure services.

This sponsorship advocates a protocol that has being activated along the past three years. The project's activities include improving educational, health and psychological status of orphan children and their families through running educational classes for strengthening stumbled students as well as inaugurating literacy classes. It also includes organizing medical convoys to check on children and their mothers and providing treatments for chronic diseases.

The projects also target developing creative, mental and social skills for children in different cultural sectors (Drawing, Music, Theatre, Scouts). It also includes the inauguration of UC Mas training classes for children in addition to the implementation of human development programs and social initiatives with the participation of children and other volunteers who are interested to serve the community surrounding each beacon.

The protocol also included a special program to improve the economic level of orphans' families through providing a monthly financial aid for female breadwinners in addition to purchasing some ration bags and organizing training program for improving marketing and production skills for some women or one of their children in order to start commercial or craft projects.

BM is always keen to contribute in all developmental fields that might raise the society's economic level which in turn, advocates the society's development and renaissance.
